What is the Honeymoon Registry?
We give Wedding couples a way to register their entire honeymoon online. It works just like a Gift registry - your Bride and Groom wanted to have parts of their honeymoon experience as a wedding gift. Instead of buying them a crock-pot, you can choose a 'Sunset Cruise' or instead of a toaster oven, you can give them part of their 'All Inclusive Trip'. The wedding couple has listed their 'Honeymoon Wishes' and costs of each experience for their friends and family to purchase as a wedding gift.

Why should we give something from this registry?
The wedding couple has decided to use this registry so that they can pre-plan what they will be able to do on their honeymoon. They have chosen to use the registry so that they know ahead of time how much they can spend on their trip and contact the organizers to book the things they would like to do. It is important to them to be able to book that Hot Air Balloon Ride or upgrade to their dream honeymoon suite before they leave.

Will I be able to send the Wedding Couple a gift card?
Yes, after your purchase, you will be able to customize a gift card that can be sent to the Bride and Groom. You can also print out your giftcard to take to the wedding.

How much is needed for the whole gift? (is it for one or two people?)
The amount needed for the whole gift (whether it is for 1 or 2 people,) is the amount "Wished For" times the "Each gift" amount.
Please Note: All dollar amounts displayed on this site are in US dollars. If you are viewing this site from outside the United States, please keep currency exchange rates in mind when purchasing a gift.

Example: "Upgrading the room" lists 10 gifts wished for of $50.00 each that means the whole upgrade will cost $500.00. However the couple does not expect anyone to buy them a gift for $500.00 and feels more comfortable breaking it down into $50.00 increments. The couple wants to upgrade anyway, and feel that any part of the upgrade given to them would be a wonderful gift and this allows them to plan ahead. The still needed category means this amount is still available to purchase.
Why not just give them money at the wedding?
Getting envelopes of checks the day before they leave for their honeymoon won't allow them to pre-plan anything for their trip. They probably won't even have time to deposit the checks before they leave. Our services allow the bride and groom to pre-book what activities they will be able to do on their honeymoon and have an accurate accounting of all gifts received. This service allows you to give something that the bride and groom really want and will cherish forever - Be remembered for taking this time to pick a personalized experience!

What is the service fee for?
This processing fee allows us to run the website, keep a complete accounting for the couple, host their wedding website, process gift certificates - and most importantly, this keeps it free for the bride and groom - after all this is their day! Our service fee eliminates other typical registry costs, such as shipping and gift-wrap charges. In addition, announcement and gift cards are free, and can be downloaded at any time. We understand that your time is valuable. The honeymoon bridal registry saves you time with the comfort and convenience of purchasing a gift from your home or office. Also, there is no hassle of returning or exchanging unwanted gifts. We ensure that the couple has the freedom to choose how they will use their gifts on their honeymoon.

How do I find a couple's Bridal Registry list?
From the Home page of the website, enter the Bride or Groom's last name in the search field and click the "Search" button. Enter as much information as you know, and our system will present you with the closest matches. If you need assistance email us or call our customer service center.

How do I buy the couple a gift?
First, look through the list of gifts the couple has registered for. Once you decide which gifts to purchase for the couple, follow the simple check out procedure. The couple will receive a gift certificate or in some instances if we do not have a gift certificate relationship set up with the provider that the couple has listed, funds for that gift will be sent to the couple who will be able to make the arrangements prior to their wedding date. This allows them to pre-book what activities they will be able to do on their honeymoon and have an accurate accounting of all gifts received.

Where does the money go?
The money goes into a holding account at Merrill Lynch, the credit card fees go to the Merchant Account, and only the processing fees go into our general account. The Bride and Groom can collect their money at any time through PayPal by logging into registry account.

What if one of the gifts uses a gift certificate? How do I know the difference?
Gifts using gift certificates are marked with a gold gift certificate button. The gift certificate will be emailed to the couple at the time of purchase.

Is the site secure?
We are a GeoTrust secured site to ensure you feel confident when using your Visa, MasterCard, or American Express. We also have a Turbo SSL certificate from GoDaddy.com that tests us daily.
Do you store my personal or credit card information?
No we do not have access to your credit card info after the purchase. Our own staff cannot see your credit card information. We do not store or sell your personal information.

Can I call or fax my order in?
Yes, just print out the purchase form, fill it in, and fax it with the summary of your order to 858-433-0500, we will call you once we receive it. If you would like to call in your order, just call 858-433-1506.
How do I get my receipt?
After your purchase is completed, you will be emailed a receipt.

Do the Bride and Groom have a way to see what I have purchased in case they lose my card?
Yes, part of our service to the Couple is to provide them with their own account. They can log in at anytime and view the wedding gifts they have received.
Are you a real company? How can I contact you if there is a problem?

What does a honeymoon registry look like?

How will I know how much to ask for?
When you set up your honeymoon bridal registry, we give you a suggested gift amount for each tour or activity per person in that area. However, you are free to ask for whatever you would like. We recommend using varied denominations to accommodate all guests and checking with your travel professional or supplier for exact pricing. All prices vary by location, availability and are subject to change without notice. You can break down the amounts any way you choose. For example, if an item is going to cost you $200.00, you may ask for "2 gifts of $100.00" or "4 gifts of $50.00", etc.

Does the bridal registry site help with the honeymoon travel or destination wedding arrangements?
We encourage you to work closely with our travel professionals who can help design the honeymoon trip that is uniquely yours. Many include special VIP amenities and benefits available only when you book with one of our travel professionals. These added touches can make all the difference in your honeymoon experience!

What if some of my wedding guests aren't that computer friendly?
No problem! Our customer service representatives are always happy to help and will take orders for your bridal registry over the phone, it is part of the outstanding customer service that we offer and part of what makes us the premiere honeymoon registry. Our phone number is found on every page of the honeymoon registry site. Your guests can also use our “let us call you” service and customer service representatives will be happy to contact them.

How much does it cost to use the bridal registry and wedding website?
We never charge a set up fee, and during the sign up process we are the only honeymoon registry that allows you to choose whether you'd like the 7% service charge to be added or deducted from each gift amount. If a credit card is used to make a purchase, then a standard 3% credit card fee will be charged. (This fee goes directly to Electronic Merchant Systems not us and is for secure credit card processing for your guests.) The service charge covers your account management, your wedding web page, order processing, gift announcements, etc. This service eliminates other typical registry costs, such as shipping and gift-wrap charges. Announcement, shower games and gift cards are free, and can be downloaded at any time. The honeymoon registry saves your guests time and gas with the comfort and convenience of purchasing their gift from their home or office (they don’t even have to buy another card!). Guests from a distance can also give you a contribution towards your honeymoon with ease using their credit card over the internet, no shipping or lugging gifts with them to your wedding destination. Also, there is no hassle or embarrassment of returning or exchanging unwanted gifts for you!

How do we notify our guests about this honeymoon registry and wedding website?
We provide downloadable announcements for you at no charge to let your friends and family know about your honeymoon bridal registry and wedding website (find under the link "Let Everyone Know".) Your bridal party and family are great ways to help your guests learn about your registry. We can send out an email announcing your registry to your selected email list. Your Matron of Honor can include an announcement in the Bridal Shower invitations, and make sure your family knows how special this is to you, ask them if they would suggest the honeymoon registry when guests ask what to get you. What if I don’t want to use the whole wedding website but I want to put up my photo and a special message on the top of my honeymoon registry?
To post a message and photo on the top of your bridal registry, log in and go to "wedding website". You don’t have to fill in the whole thing, just load your photos and use the "special message" section only.

How am I notified of a purchase from my honeymoon gift registry?
You receive an email notice to view your "Gift Announcement" that is filled out by the gift giver. Your guests can also choose to print out this customized gift announcement with a personal message and a photo of what they selected on your honeymoon registry to hand to you. You can log on to your account at anytime and go to "view gifts" to view your gift details, givers and the gift announcements. Guest can also post their gift announcement on your honeymoon registry under the "Well Wishes" section if they choose.

When will I receive my gifts from my honeymoon registry?
You can collect your wedding gifts anytime as many times as you’d like just by emailing us or going to the "Request Payment" link under "Manage your Gift Money" when you log in.. You can collect your gifts by:
Having a check mailed directly to you (regular US post, no additional fees)
Via an ACH bank to bank transfer (no additional fees)
Or you can use your PayPal account (can be service fees according to PayPal’s terms) - the choice is yours!

After you sign up, you can log in and go to "manage my gift money" to select the method for which you would like to receive your gift monies. If you get busy and forget to request your gift money - we’ll send it by your specified method 5 days before the wedding (or upon request by you of an earlier date.) You can also choose overnight delivery of the check (within USA). The overnight delivery charge is $21.00 (M-F) will be deducted from your total gift amount.
Will you send the gift money from my honeymoon registry to my travel agent or a travel supplier?

All gift money will be sent direct to you at your contact address or electronically - not to your travel agent, hotel, resort or cruise line. Remember, you can email us at anytime to collect funds or go to "request payment" after you log in.
Do you book the activities on my honeymoon registry for me?
You have the freedom to choose whatever supplier for any gift you receive as we are not booking the item for you just because it is listed on your bridal registry. We always suggest asking your travel professional to help you with reservations for your honeymoon vacation or destination wedding.

When will my honeymoon registry be active? When will my honeymoon registry close?
Guests can view and give you a gift starting the first day you set up your honeymoon registry. Your honeymoon bridal registry will remain active 90 days after your wedding.

What if we don't know where we are going but want to use a honeymoon registry to start receiving gift money for the honeymoon trip or destination wedding?
If you have not booked your honeymoon trip or destination wedding yet and are not sure where you are going we suggest setting up as 'Undecided' or "It’s a Surprise!" you can always change this to the specific location for your honeymoon later. You can still list your wishes in a general way while you are planning.

Can I use this honeymoon bridal registry if I am not from the US?
Yes absolutely! All amounts will remain listed in US$. We ask that you use a PayPal account so that we can send you money in a timely manner. PayPal does have currency conversion please see www.PayPal.com for all details and service fee rates.
Can I use this site for my Anniversary or a Vow Renewal?
Yes! We have many couples use this site for their Anniversary or Vow Renewal.

Can I set this up for a wedding couple as a surprise?
You can set this up for someone else as a surprise; however it is very important to notify our office all the details. Please email specific details of your situation along with your contact information to support@honeymoonwishes.com.
What happens if we decided to change the location of our honeymoon or destination wedding?
No problem, if you have already selected a place for your honeymoon and have to change the location just log in to your account manager and change your location or information under "personal account information".

Can I change/add items to my registry list after I’ve posted it?
Yes, anytime. You just log in to your account manager and go to "edit registry" to add more items.

What happens if my wedding or honeymoon is cancelled or postponed?
If your wedding or honeymoon is postponed, just log into your account and revise your wedding date. If your wedding is cancelled, we will be more than happy to reverse the charges from each of your guests purchases at no cost to you. However, if the cash payments for your gifts have already been wired to your bank account, it is up to you to return any gifts to your friends and family.

Do you sell my or my guests information?
Absolutely not! All information is kept confidential. We do not store any credit card information, in fact - our own staff can't see it. Please see our Privacy Policy for more details.
